The name is deceiving as Stinking Hellebore (Helleborus feotidus) only gives off an unpleasant aroma when the blooms or leaves are crushed. I did not give it try. I have read though, the leaves are toxic if ingested by humans or pets.
Happy Sunday,
What an interesting flower. Does it stay completely green, or do the blooms change color?
My mother in law has some hellebores in this colour as well as burgandy. Lovely spring blooms
What an interesting plant, but I sure do understand you not trying to find out how stinking it is!
