What a lovely color combination from the red berries and green, although fading, leaves of the dogwood tree. I found this article rather interesting if you would like to harvest the berries to grow your own seedlings.

ReplyDeleteWith a name like the Darling Dogwood, you know I love dogwoods at all times of years! Ours were full with berries a few weeks ago. I enjoyed the harvesting article. I think I'm too late for this year but I may try it next year. I only have white dogwoods in my yard but I have a few neighbors with pink dogwoods, maybe they would let me take some berries. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI had variegated dogwood and it never got berries. I did think they were supposed to years ago...but these are gorgeous.
